Trump Administration Drops Hammer on California for Allowing Boys to Play in Girls’ Sports President Donald Trump's administration dropped the hammer on the state of California on Wednesday for its woke madness, allowing boys to play in girls' sports and enter women's spaces. In the press release posted on X, the Department of Education announced that the state, led by Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom, violated Title IX. The Department's Office for Civil Rights has concluded its Title IX investigations into "California's Department of Education & Interscholastic Federation and found both clearly violated Title IX by failing to protect women & girls from sex-based discrimination," the post read. "Although Governor Gavin Newsom admitted months ago it was 'deeply unfair' to allow men to compete in women's sports, both the California Department of Education (CDE) and the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) continued as recently as a few weeks ago to allow men to steal female athletes' well-deserved accolades and to subject them to the indignity of unfair and unsafe competitions," Secretary of Education Linda McMahon said in the release about the announcement. "The Trump Administration will relentlessly enforce Title IX protections for women and girls, and our findings today make clear that California has failed to adhere to its obligations under federal law," she added. "The state must swiftly come into compliance with Title IX or face the consequences that follow."
