NATO chief says 'Daddy Trump has to use bad words sometimes' as he 'sorts out' war

Donald Trump stopped Iran and Israel fighting like a "daddy" breaking up "two kids in a school yard", the head of Nato said.

The US president compared Iran and Israel to “two kids in a school yard” during a summit of world leaders in the Hague on Wednesday.

Before flying to Europe for the Nato summit, he told reporters: "We basically have two countries that have been fighting so long and so hard that they don’t know what the f***=k they’re doing.”

And in reference to his foul-mouthed outburst, Nato secretary general Mark Rutte said: "Daddy sometimes has to use strong language."

During a press conference, Trump said of Israel and Iran: "They're not going to be fighting each other, they've had it. They've had a big fight.

"Like two kids in a school yard, they fight like hell, you can't stop them. Let them fight for about two or three minutes and it's easier to stop them."

Rutte interjected: "And then daddy has to sometimes use strong language to stop them."

Trump chuckled: "You have to use strong language. Every once in a while you have to use a certain word."

The love-in continued when former Dutch PM Rutte labelled Trump a "man of strength and peace" during the summit.
