A PLANE passenger cruelly drowned her dog to avoid missing her flight after the pet pooch wasn't allowed to board the plane.

Alison Agatha Lawrence, 57, drowned the poodle in the toilet in the Florida airport bathroom, before throwing it in the trash.

CCTV footage shows Lawrence pulling a suitcase alongside her white poodle inside Orlando International Airport back in December.

But her pooch was unable to board the plane as the dog did not have the correct paperwork.

Rather than calling friends or family to pick up the dog, Lawrence decided to kill the animal and dump its body in the trash.

The deceased pet was found in the trash by a janitor.

The airport alerted Orlando Police to the shocking event and a warrant was issued for Lawrence's arrest.

Lawrence has now been arrested and charged with aggravated animal cruelty.

The 57-year-old was booked into jail, but hours later posted a $5,000 bond, according to court records.

Lawrence's neighbors recalled her having a white poodle that she used to walk around the neighborhood often.
