Karoline Leavitt Just Exposed CNN, Dems Over ‘Fake’ Claims Trump Failed to Brief Them Before Iran Strikes White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt hammered CNN following a report claiming the White House failed to notify key Democratic leaders about the Iran strikes before the operation was launched. CNN cited multiple sources who said GOP leaders were briefed on the U.S. airstrikes that took out Iran's key nuclear enrichment facilities, but "top Democrats were not told of his plans until after the bombs had dropped." Leavitt took to X to call out the report as "fake news" and requested the outlet retract the story. "The White House made bipartisan courtesy calls to Congressional Leadership and spoke to @SenSchumer before the strike," she wrote. "@RepJeffries could not be reached until after, but he was briefed." Leavitt provided further details to Fox News Monday morning, confirming Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) was, in fact, briefed.
