In his latest post on Truth Social, Donald Trump has promised "Liberation Day" is coming as he referenced the last changes incoming to tariffs on the US' "friends and foes"

Donald Trump has promised America’s "Liberation Day is coming" in April in his latest rant on his own social media channel, as more tariffs are planned on “friend and foe”.

The US President is preparing for yet more tariffs on imports next month after already raising them for the likes of Canada, China, Mexico and the UK. Despite the risks and concerns from the public of a US recession he continues to plough through with the plans which have so far been levied at $800billion (£618billion) of imports. In a new message posted on TruthSocial, Trump described the day tariffs will rise as “Liberation Day”.

Trump wrote: “The Fed would be MUCH better off CUTTING RATES as US Tariffs start to transition (ease!) their way into the economy. Do the right thing. April 2nd is Liberation Day in America!”
