Chilling flight map shows final plane in Qatar airspace u-turn after Iran fires missiles A commercial flight has been diverted following Iran's retaliatory strikes in Qatar. According to a post on X by Flightradar, the plane is being forced to fly around in circles. The plane circled Qatari airspace before ultimately being diverted. It was reported that the flight originated in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, and was supposed to land in Dubai. According to the flight tracker, the plane ultimately landed in Bahrain. The diversion of the plane comes after Qatar closed its airspace to traffic on Monday in fear of a retaliatory attack by Iran. Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the closure was to ensure the safety of residents and visitors. In a separate statement, the foreign ministry said the warning did "not necessarily reflect the existence of specific threats." "The security situation in the country is stable," the statement added. "The relevant authorities are closely monitoring the situation and are ready to take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of citizens, residents, and visitors."
