Bernie Sanders Rips Trump In Fiery Takedown: Only a ‘Coward’ Sues Media For Reporting ‘Things You Don’t Like’

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) hit the road this week with rallies in the southwest, including one in Tempe, Arizona, on Thursday during which he called President Donald Trump a “coward” for suing media outlets he doesn’t like.

Sanders began by praising the founders, who he said “understood that in our constitution and in our government, you had to have a separation of powers so that no one person had it all.”

He continued, in a not-so-subtle swipe at Trump, “And they created an executive branch, a legislative branch, and a judiciary. And every day, Trump is trying to take power away from the Congress. He is trying to take power away from the judiciary.”

“Unbelievably, when a court makes a decision, you can agree with it, you can disagree with it. Most of us thought that Citizens United decision was a horrible decision. Most of us thought that the decision to override Roe v. Wade was a terrible decision. But in our form of government, you don’t impeach judges for writing a decision you disagree with,” hammering Trump’s call to impeach the judge who ruled against his deportations to El Salvador. Sanders added:

In our form of government, unless you are a coward, you don’t sue the media because they report on things you don’t
