'Flat out wrong!' White House seethes as secret report undercuts Iran claim A new report obtained by CNN from the Pentagon's intelligence division concluded that President Donald Trump's strike on Iran only set back the country's nuclear program by months. Sources briefed on the report from the Defense Intelligence Agency, or DIA, told CNN that it drastically undercut Trump's claim that the facilities had been "obliterated". "Two of the people familiar with the assessment said Iran's stockpile of enriched uranium was not destroyed," CNN's report said. "One of the people said the centrifuges are largely 'intact.'" "So the (DIA) assessment is that the US set them back maybe a few months, tops," the person revealed. CNN's Natasha Bertrand pointed out that intelligence agencies were still gathering information. "But based on a battle damage assessment that was carried out by US Central Command, essentially looking at the images and looking at what was actually damaged, the Defense Intelligence Agency, has assessed that the core components of Iran's nuclear program are largely intact and that Iran's nuclear program has essentially only been set back by months," she said. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth acknowledged the existence of the report but insisted the Trump administration disagreed with it.
